GooD MorninG

Seated on the front porch, taking in the fresh cool morning air.  Watching the variety of birds jumping from the still bare trees ... two woodpeckers, a shy blue jay, a curious flicker and across the street a bald eagle flew gracefully over the park.  Squirrels racing around seeking snacks.  Tiny black-capped chickadees looking for the feeder that i had to move because the clever squirrels figured how to hang from the branch and eat from the feeder.  i watched one of the chickadees standing on the branch where the feeder once hung and looked down to see the empty space.  In the very early hours, just a darkness gets a hint of light, the park across the street is covered in white.  Hundreds of  seagulls gather and in one moment they fly into the air, circling the park only to cover the ground again.  i use to dislike the song of the gulls, but now i find it calm and relaxing.  Especially when i am doing my work out along the Puget Sound.  Later in the morning, from the view of my porch, i can watch the doggies playing in the park.  That always brings me joy.

From my front porch, i am honored with the blessings of natures.  And just a short distance away i am happily overwhelmed by even more of the beauty of life.  Each day i make a point of embracing life because one day it could all be gone ... as sadly so much of it is already disappearing. i never take for granted what life unselfishly shares with me and i am forever thankfully to my precious SADDI for teaching me to cherish the simple joys in life.  As you appreciate the simple things, everything else will come to have greater importance to you.  A scent, a taste, a feel, a sound or even a moment.  Especially the true meaning of the celebration of life.
