S A D D I

SADDI was the most beautiful, loving, caring soul i have ever, and likely will ever, know.  Her gentle nature helped to calm me many times.
But during our nightly walks, there was one area where SADDI changed.  As we were coming back from Portland State University, never on the way there, SADDI would start growling at me.  And jumping at me.  If you didn't know her, you'd think she was going to bite me (she never did).  Never did i understand this.  And again, it was only on the way back home at this half block area.  After we passed that area, she just went back to walking, with that confident gallop she had.
The hardest part for me, was trying not to laugh when she acted that way.  She was so serious and being aggressive, it was totally unlike her.  i played along, pretending to be scared, but inside i was laughing so hard at her.
One night, the security guard, inside the building we passed, came out and asked if SADDI was okay.  She had noticed us for a few evenings.  i couldn't explain SADDI's behavior.  Every night after that, the security guard got up from her desk and stood at the window to watch us walk by and even she got a laugh the way SADDI was acting.
