EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! READ ALL ABOUT IT
22 years
22 years ago today, my life was forever altered in the most beautiful way. On this day, 22 years ago, SADDI walked across a yard, seeing me for the very first time, sat on my foot, place her head on my leg, looking up at me. When i picked her up, she snuggled her head against my neck and i realized that i had been picked. As days passed, i realized that i had actually been rescued. In our 13.5 years together, we had our difficult days, but they were always overshadowed by the strong beautiful bond SADDI and i share.. Our life together was simple, but many moments i cherish within my heart. Moments, that even nearly 9 years since SADDI has been gone, make me smile. One that always gets to me, i use to squish SADDI's face between my hands and slowly rock her head back and forth. When i released, she was giving me that big beautiful smile. Oh how i need that smile everyday now. But how truly blessed i am to have the memories. To have known such love and friendship. How honored i am to have been taught, by SADDI, on how to be a better human. Even today, SADDI visits me in my dreams. They're so real that i don't want to wake up. Because when i do wake up, i have to return to the reality that another day without SADDI has begun.
Capturing Life
Recently, i added several albums of pictures, in my profile, that i have taken to Celebrate Life in my most cherished season of spring. i received very sincere words from very dear people who enjoyed the photo's. But i insist, i just take pictures to capture the beauty of life. Taking pictures relaxes me. Like everyone else is capable of doing. Just be present and appreciate the simple things. Capture life. Capture events. Capture memories. And you don't need an expensive camera. The picture here, i took with my cell phone.
S A D D I
SADDI was amazing ...
and so smart.
When she was a puppy,
as we drove down the street
and she saw another doggie,
she would start barking.
i don't know why,
but i said to her "inside bark".
SADDI knew what i meant.
Her bark became a whisper.
i had never said it to her before,
but she knew what it meant.
And it worked every time afterwards.
