Can we STOP the stupidity? We have a president who tweets every rambling thought in his head, despite a lack of facts or common decency. A first lady traveling the country with her 'Be Best' initiative, yet she was part of the birther lie against our last president. You're unable to leave a comment online, about any subject, without someone's immaturity attacking you with childish name calling. There's a small group of people going after a young drag performer, Desmond is Amazing, and his parents. They even went so far as to report the family to Child Protective Services ... the family was investigated and cleared. A child, these people are spewing hateful comments (lies) onto. ... On a personal note, i wish i had a parent who is as loving and supportive as Desmond's, i may not have struggled to accept my truth for so long. ... The internet has amazing positives, sadly, too many people use it for abuse. Instead of lifting one another so we all can thrive, if you don't share someone's thoughts and opinions, they attempt to insult you, even wishing you were dead. Our society MUST change. But we can't do that unless we are willing to change ourselves. As for me, i rarely comment online anymore, it's just not worth it trying to educate the ignorance on the rise. People don't want to hear actual truth, when they have cemented lies in their head. i strive to see the good in people and life, but it's impossible to ignore the ugly. But i shouldn't add to the ugliness, despite sharing positive hope isn't as welcomed to most. But i'd rather be under a beautiful bright rainbow, then always carrying a dark cloud over me. Words matter, but action creates results.
