i loved playing tug-o-war with SADDI. She was so strong, but still so gentle. When we played with a socky, i could bring my face down against hers, as i pulled with all my strength with my hand, i would give her a kiss, but it didn't distract her. She was playing to win. When she was a puppy, she had my socks and old t-shirts all around the front room. We'd start to play with one items, then i would switch to another. SADDI didn't want me playing with her toys, so she came over and tried to take away what i was playing with. We could do this all night, going from one toy to another. When i found a sock, fresh from the washer, that had a hole in it, i'd throw it down with SADDI's other toys ... but she wouldn't play with it. Even when i did, she wasn't interested. She only wanted the items that had my scent on them.

In the small apartment we stayed for too many years, i would go outside of the gate to work in the very small front yard. SADDI stayed in the yard on the other side of the gate waiting for me. To ensure i didn't go far, SADDI would stick her nose under the gate, about one inch gap. i kept talking to her so she knew i was still there. Foolishly i didn't take a picture of this, but it is forever imprinted in my precious cherished memories file that i hold within my heart and look through often. When i finished and came back inside, SADDI acted as if i had been gone for hours. Giving me the usual bark and sneeze, as if to tell me never to leave her again.
One person CAN make a difference
Just looking up at the dark sky, seeing the glow of the moon and the twinkle of the distant stars, it truly makes you feel so small compared to what this world and universe are. Even though we may be small, it does not mean we are incapable to creating beautiful massive change to improve the future, not just for ourselves, but for all the other lives that matter. And no matter our differences, we all matter, and we should all be doing more to ensure there is no more suffering. We all should be doing our part to take care and clean this precious earth ... the land, the sky, the water.
One person CAN make a difference ...
but all of us together ...

With thick black fur,
hot summer days were difficult of SADDI.
Sometimes i would chase her around the house
with a spray bottle, trying to put a mist on her.
She just hated to get wet.
And even though she would get annoyed
when i blew in her face,
she would lay on the bed
with the fan blowing on her.
There were times i would wet a towel
with cold water and rub her body with it.
Anything to make her comfortable.
