S A D D I

Christmastime in the city ... when SADDI took me for our nightly walk, it usually turned into a jog.   As we walked through the quiet downtown streets, several blocks away SADDI would hear the bells on a horse drawn carriage.  SADDI would start pulling me as she kept searching where the sounds were coming from.  We never caught up to see the horse, but it never stopped SADDI from trying to find it whenever we heard it.  There was one night when we passed a waterfront restaurant where the carriage awaited passengers.i picked up SADDI and we walked up to the horse. She didn't bark or get wildly excited as i picked her up into my arms.  She just stared in wonder as we walked past the horse.  After a few feet, i let her down, and i had to pull her so we could go home.  SADDI just started smiling.  There was an added hop in her walk because she was so happy that she got to see a horsey.  Every night for about a week, SADDI guided me down to that same area hoping to see the horse again, but we never did.
